From the picture that you see they look plain and simple, but when you actually get them, your going to be like, these shoes are sharp. The leather feels superb and very comfortable and they feel like they are already broke in when you first put them on. The walnut color is perfect, it matches any color pair of jeans or pants. I suggest getting some kind of leather or boot protection because you are not going to want them to get scratched or wet. 2010-01-11 18:07:28 Clarks Ecosteps Wallabee Reviewer: Anonymous from Los Angeles, CA Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support I've been wearing the suede, Wallee lo's now for about 15 years. If I'm going somewhere that I can't wear sneakers (the office, lounges, nice restaurants, etc.), then it's always my Wallees. It was really out of necessity, because due to foot surgery I had as a child, I've never really been able to wear "dress" casual shoes without serious discomfort. The only gripe I've ever had about the lo's was that they would slide up and down on my heel a bunch (something that wasn't too annoying to get used to so I just lived with it). I never wanted to try the Wallee boots, because I don't really dig high top sneakers, and figured the boots might hit me in a weird spot above my ankle bone. Well, after my current pair of Wallee lo suedes wore out after 3 years of constant wear, I decided to give the boots a try. Also, I had always had suede, mainly because the leather versions always seemed so stiff compared to the suede ones. However, these Ecosteps seemed like they had a bit of softer leather, so I figured I'd give them a try (hey, with Zappos' generous return policy, what did I have to lose?). So, I got them today, and they are absolutely perfect! Have the boot totally eliminated the heel slip that I was so used to with the lo's. Man, why didn't I try the boots sooner? Also, the leather on these is quite soft, and has a worn in feeling. I think break in time is going to be very minimal. Anyone that's even considering getting a pair, don't even think about, just get 'em! Last forever, timeless styling, can wear them in basically any environment, and they're comfy as a slipper! 2009-10-09 06:50:43 Clarks Ecosteps Wallabee Reviewer: Patrick R from Kansas City Overall: These shoes are the real deal. I\'ve been buying the standard Clark\'s Wallabee\'s for years now and love them. The only downside is that the suede was hard to keep clean. These new Ecosteps don\'t have that problem because of the different leather they use. Now I\'ve found the perfect shoe. These are definitely worth the price. You won\'t regret buying these great shoes. Top |
