Great shoes. A bit heavy, but extraordinarily pliable and soft. My only beef with them is the sole is quite narrow; coupled with the height, it's actually easy to roll an ankle. My right ankle is loose due to a series of severe sprains, so maybe you won't have a problem. As they break in, they provide a bit more support and mold to your soles. Not sure I'd use these for long walking, but then again, I'm pretty demanding when it comes to walking/all day work shoes. Look:Just as expected! These Wallabees are the perfect shoe for my teenage son, and he is certainly getting good use from them. He wears a size 12 in some shoes, but I knew from past experience to order an 11 in this particular shoe. Comfort and fit are fabulous, and as usual, Zappos outdid themselves! I ordered the shoes at 10:30 on a Wednesday night, and they were at my house before noon on Friday! It looks great with jeans or khakis. One thing is I ordered my size and they felt a little big. I returned them and got a half size smaller and they were perfect. Zappos had the second pair at my door in less than 24 hours... I have had the same pair for almost 2 years now, and they still fit the same as the first day I got them. I wear them everyday, and I am a teacher, so I'm on my feet most of the time. The only problem I've ever had was for the first couple of weeks I had them, the brown coloring wore off on my socks. Was afraid since for quite a few years, they are built in China rather than Ireland that the quality would not be the same, but fortunately, it is. It is true, they do not wear out but after a couple years, they become more uncomfortable as they wear, especially if you are older like me: 55. Due to my need for more arch support, I still got caluses on my toes and heels with my Wallabees. MY SOLUTION: Inserting a high quality arch support such as a Senco(2R for me)under [or over for your?] the Wallabee liner seems to have solved MY problem. Also, I wish Wallabees came in narrow sizes since I have a AA foot size. The medium widths are too loose. If I tie them tight, it hurts the top of my feet. Top |
