Look:These boots are fantastic. Super comfortable. I have narrow feet and they are roomy enough for my Superfeet insoles. I have not worn them through a Maine winter yet, but I am confident that they will keep me warm and dry. Also, the zipper is perfect for quick on and off. I have 4year old twin boys and no time to mess around with laces. (I also ordered the mid calf version and have not been able to convince myself to return them.) Much better made than the Keens I have worn for the last 3 years. I wish I had found these sooner. They feel luxurious and very well made. Look:I needed a waterproof boot to work outside. I have plantar fasciitis and needed good support. With these boots I can add or subtract orthotics depending on my needs of the moment. Look:These boots are amazing. I wore them all day, every day from October of last year until mid-April, and even in the summer at sleep away camp for two months! (I wore them because I was in the woods all day long for two months, but take note: they really were too warm for that!) These are the comfiest shoes I've ever owned, and they're nice and waterproof (I did have my dad touch them up with leather waterproofing though, midway through the season and again note, I wore these for nearly 10 hours a day every day for about 10 months. That's a lot of beating). My only other complaint is about the treads; they wore off by the end of the season. The sole of the front of both boots is totally smooth rubber. But, recently they have developed a tear/crack in the leather and separation of the rubber in the same area on the left shoe near my little toe. I'm a 7 1/2, I ordered the 7 and it fit perfectly. A little loose in the heel. Had a squeak in one shoe but it went away after the first day. Not sure the pair I received it totally waterproof. The last time I walked the dog in the rain the inside of the toe area was a little damp. Very cute. I typically fluctuate between an 8 1/2 and a 9, so according to the sizing chart, I bought the 9. They are a bit long, but the width is perfect. I must admit that once I wore them outside, I found them a bit uncomfortable. I loved the way they looked - but because of the previous reviews about the way they fit, I ordered mine half a size larger. (I think that they actually fit true to size.) I kept mine, but they do squeak, and they make my feet sweat within a couple of hours. I bought them just to wear when it rains and I'm riding my motorcycle. I will probably only wear them when it rains, and bring some shoes with me to change into that don't make my feet sweat. My feet were warm and dry on the rainiest and coldest of days. Also, functional in the snow without the bulk of most snow boots. Because of the style of the boot, I wore them with everything. For a couple of months they were great - comfortable, looked great, etc. But then the zipper started having problems zipping up on the left boot. It finally popped and I had to buy new boots in the middle of a snowstorm here in NYC. I will contact Clarks to see if can get them replaced, but a zipper shouldn't go after 2 months of wear.
