Overall a great pair. Very comfortable, good arch support, no break-in period. I thought these sandals would be dressier (think Kenneth Cole, etc.), but they turned out to be a lot more casual than I imagined from the pictures. The soles are rubber and the strap is a canvas material. Zipper is functional, though you can't put anything in there. Wore them at the beach and they collected an extraordinary amount of sand where the straps connect to the sole. Upside was that if you want to remember the beach after you get home, just clap them together and you can recreate the beach on your floor. I do love them, though.

Clarks run big. I wear a 11 in flip flops and these were too big so go a size smaller. They are super soft, maybe too soft. If you like em soft these are for you!
