Look:The shoes are nice and comfortable and okay I guess, but I do have a few complaints about them. Look:Shoe Size: Felt true to size After a minimum amount of use and mileage, the soles of these shoes, especially at the ball area of the foot, have quickly worn smooth and have developed holes. The soles are "slick" and the shoes are dangerously slippery. Look:If you want to throw away your money, buy this shoe. Nice style, but absolutely no arch or foot support at all. I would do better to walk barefoot. I would have heeded the other reviews, but I always have to find out for myself. Look:I am returning these shoes because I believe them to be defective. However, I'll start with the good. These shoes fit pretty well and have nice styling. Now for the bad. After just a few wearings, they began to wear through at the ball of the foot and before long were almost completely worn through and letting in water. I've had another pair of Clarks for about 5 years, which are only now showing the kind of wear on the new ones. The issue with the others was that the sole split on both shoes after 6 months. If these don't do the same, overall I will be very satisfied. The customer service group was first-class in addressing the issue. By the time I made it to my office, my socks were wet. I can't tell how comfortable the shoes really are as they are no longer on my feet. I'm walking around in bare feet waiting for the shoes and socks to dry out. There is NO cushioning and NO arch support on the bottom of this shoe. Absolutely none. I had to use the best gel insoles w/ arch supports and they STILL destroyed my feet. I then added a SECOND foam insole and STILL it felt like I was walking on a flat slab of concrete all day. To make matters worse, the right shoe developed a 'bump' on the top left-hand side and then gave me a huge blister for weeks. I chose the Nebulae because of its style (semi-dressy) and comfort (I wear a wide shoe) and delightful ease of wearing. I bought the shoe in black first, and then waited until one in brown was available in my size. Love the shoe, but two major problems. One is that this shoe cannot be worn while it is raining or ground is wet (found out the first week I owned the shoe). Rubber sole leaks due to it stitched on the bottom for design. (Stitching Leaks.) Other problem is that the rubber sole is wearing out and cracking with holes developing. The rubber sole on both shoes is cracked and the tread is worn off! The shoe is very comfortable, and the leather has worn very well, but the rubber sole leaves much to be desired. Top |
