Look:I have not made many purchases via the internet, but I am very happy with this one! I bought these shoes for walking around New York City hoping that they would be as comfortable as other Clarks shoes I already have and they were perfect! I typically don't like shoes that you wear like thongs with something between the toes, but these were surprisingly comfortable. Even after wearing them constantly for a few months, they look brand new. Look:Too narrow! I loved the overall look of these shoes, and the footbed seemed highly comfortable. The problem was that the leather straps were too narrow - my foot wouldn't slide all the way in. So the piece that should be down in-between your toes winds up being kind of at the top of my big toe - I couldn't get my feet in any further! I thought they might break in eventually, but they haven't. I don't have wide feet - they are actually a touch on the narrow side - so this is a new one for me. Look:I have very mixed feelings about these shoes. I got them in black. I was desperate for some shoes that I could walk in and then stand in for hours on a hard floor - as one often ends up doing when going to some art opening, crowed restaurant (and you have to wait), or sometimes even at a private party. Didn't need to be extremely dressy - just not flat or "comfort" looking. I got these because the soles are extremely comfortable and absorb shock well. Problem is, I just can't get them to break in. The straps are supposed to be leather but they just won't give! The thing between the toe is also a little too bulky and stiff - but, that is made worse by my foot just not sliding all the way into it easily. I tried 3 different sizes, so the size is not the issue. I think they actually run about 1/2 size too long. Perhaps if you have a foot on the narrow side (mine are average), these will be great for you. Like I said, the platform is extremely comfortable. Top |
