He has always liked Clark's desert boot because they not only are comfortable but they wear well and keep their appearance. I appreciate Zappos selection of sizes, prices, and prompt attention to my orders. 2005-03-27 09:55:32 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Anonymous Overall: Classic - I love this shoe. It is one of my all-time fvaorite shoes. I have been wearing this for over 5 years and it contibues to be just a comfortable shoes. Good buy anyday. 2005-03-14 12:59:34 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Anonymous from Kansas City Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Clark's Desert Boot - First pair of Clark's and am hoping that the legendary comfort will come as the shoes break in over time. I was disappointed by their initial comfort. It's been several weeks now of lots of wear and 2-3 block dog walking excurstions are pretty comfortable now. I also had to get pretty aggressive with waterproofing and cleaning treatments. Any liquid contact stains this shoe's light suede color. Wish I had gone for a darker color for sure. 2005-03-13 05:30:17 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Patricia L from Wyoming Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Wonderful shoe! My husband has been wearing this shoe since the early 50's when he was a Navy pilot in CA. Now living in Casper, WY, I was so happy to come across Zappo's on-line. The entire transaction was just great and he is very happy with his new shoes. 2005-03-06 15:48:51 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Anonymous from Columbus, OH Overall: Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width NewFoundGlory - I heard about the in GQ and just bought them. Definately a purchase that will last through the years. They go with just about anything. Only complains would be the footbeds. Gots some gel insole and they are comfy. Lace them a little loose. It helps. 2005-03-02 20:16:00 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Django from Fairfax, VA Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Desert Boots - This is a good looking boot. I felt the brown looked a little too dark, close to black. I was walking in the snow the other day, and these shoes were like ice skates. Other than that, some of the best shoes I've owned. 2005-03-01 14:17:03 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Anonymous from Los Angeles, CA Overall: Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked Feels a little cramped compared to other 10 1/2 sizes but it's okay. I love the shoe and get comments all the time. 2005-02-25 22:25:29 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Susan from Racine, WI Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked What a Find! My significant other has been looking for these shoes for a long time. I took a chance and through a Google search found them at Zappos. Turned out to be a great Christmas gift. The size was correct and I'm told they are very comfortable. 2005-02-25 17:00:25 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Steve from Seattle, WA Overall: Shoe Size: Felt a full size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width Wear them loosely - Great looking boot, but the first few times I wore them, the top of my foot got sore. This is because the laces only cross once, meaning only one point of contact with the foot. The also don't lace up very high. However, if you wear them very loosely... presto! Very comfortable. Takes a little getting used to, but worth the effort. 2005-02-25 08:51:27 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Anonymous Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked The forefoot was a little tight, but a quick trip to the local shoe repair guy fixed that--you can custom stretch real thick leather shoes - something to keep in mind. Fit like a glove now. 2005-02-14 17:30:11 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Anonymous from Los Angeles, California Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width The Clark Desert Boot is like all Clark originals - awesome! I have been wearing Clark's D boots for about 30 years. I bought my first pair in college, and have been in love with them ever since. There is nothing out there like them and probably never will be. 2005-01-05 07:57:36 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: D W from Pennsylvania Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Beautiful - The shoes are exactly what I was looking for and I was unable to buy them in my state even by special order. You will be keeping your pimp hand strong in these stylish and practical suede chukkas. From a weekend in the country, to a night in the city, this shoe does it all. Give this shoe a few wearings to break in. You will note some slight stiffness/rubbing in the top our your foot the first time you try them on. 2004-12-27 08:08:40 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: J. H from Nashville, TN Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Clark's Desert Boot - A classic staple for any man's wardrobe. I ordered these via phone at 8:00pm on a Monday night and the box was in my office at 10:00am the NEXT MORNING(!). Insane customer service - the best. I first started wearing it in college and law school. It is great with jeans and incredibly comfortable! 2004-12-08 08:25:16 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Elionne W from Idaho Overall: This shoe appeared too large for my husband's usual size, so I re-ordered a size smaller. I am giving the shoes to him as a Christmas gift; therefore, I cannot comment on the fit until after he tries them. 2004-11-30 19:36:34 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Gary I Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width GARY - I wore these shoes in high school, now I even found a lady who pegs pants. This version is close to my memory. There were two flaws. One minor and one major. First the minor. The shoe string is a very thin flat one that will wear out fast. I will replace it soon with the original one that is round. The second problem is that the width under the ball of the foot is too narrow. I bought these boots for the comfort provided by the soft upper. It is not a medium. The shoe will stretch out and I started out with no socks and increased the sock thickness until the uppers conformed to my foot. Overall I would buy again. 2004-11-19 08:25:07 Clarks Desert Boot Reviewer: Tom C from Scottsdale, Arizona Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Clarks Desert Boot - I wore these as a little kid in the early 70's and they were about the only thing my father wore for casual wear. When I found out that I could get them, I guess I wanted to be like my father. I don't think I quite carry his presence in them yet, but my mom was sure suprised to see them again. One complain, the laces come lose fairly regularly and they don't provide a very tight fit.
