At first I thought it was too loose in the heel area because I was wearing tights, even w/ socks the heel area is sooo loose. The back of my foot is swimming around so badly. I am very please with the product and the service. I ordered standard shipping and got it delivered the next day, a free of cost shipping upgrade. The shoe is very comfortable and stylish. Looks great with long jeans, and you can wear them casual or dressed up. Unfortunately, the heel is much too wide and the foot slips out of it with every step. I returned them as I can only imagine how the foot slipping would cause discomfort after a few hours of wearing. I'm a professional chef and spend most of my day on my feet. When I go out at night I still want to look sharp, but don't want to torture my tired feet. The Clarks are stylish without being trendy. I didn't find the top too wide. This seems to be a very fashion forward look. They go well with pants and skirts. The quality is excellent. I just bought these and haven't street-tested them yet, but so far they seem to do the Clarks name proud. They have that rare combo of stylish but comfortable - they are so well designed that the heel doesn't feel high at all. It's true that the ankle is really wide and my heel slips around a little in these, but that doesn't seem to affect the comfort factor, at least as I am walking around my apartment. They fit perfectly and have a nice roomy ankle, so I decided to buy a pair in black also. Look:Gorgeous, but uncomfortable - I got the Anakonda brown. Beautiful, but toe box is small. My toes get bunched up and you end up walking as if in pain because the heel height becomes an issue at that point. Also, my heel kept sliding out. Throw that into the mix and you are walking like you have issues! Not very sexy! I don't have narrow ankles by any means - but this shoe must have been designed for a hippopotamus' ankle. I guess I prefer a tighter fit around the ankle. I wanted these to work out, because they looked great on - just could foresee myself twisting my ankles on a daily basis due to the way these fit. Because of that, I have a hard time buying shoes and boots. If the shoe or boot is not exactly right, I can't wear it. Clarks are the only brand I have been able to wear. The Clark Somers feel like soft butter. They are so comfortable, I can wear them all day at work. Thank you Zappos and Clarks, without you I would have a big problem! Top |
