Look:Love these boots, but have to wait to get new stock in. Zappos is great for getting new stock in. The Stone Leather color is different, as I'm tired of the same ol' black and dark brown boots. Let's bring out some color! And, yes, for Clarks, these are definitely one of their cutest boots. But for those who have problems with extra room in the heels (I've read a lot of reviews on a lot of boots complaining about that), they sell in all stores, pads of all kinds you can stick to the interior heel to make the fit better. Look:I just received these boots (48 hours after I ordered them, mind you). They are so comfortable and really cute. I know that Clarks is not exactly known for the most attractive footwear, but these are an exception. There is a good amount of room around the ankle, so if you plan on wearing them with skinny jeans not tucked in, then these might not be for you. But I actually like to have that kind of movement around the ankle. The heel is sturdy but not clunky. Surprisingly, even with the extra room, I am able to walk without feeling unstable. Since I love the look of the shoe, I took a chance on the heel. These shoes are very comfortable right out of the box with no break-in time. I like a higher heel, but one that's comfortable to walk in every day and these fit the bill. They are narrower in the toe box than some, so if you have wider feet, they may be snug, but my feet are narrow so was a perfect fit. I'm a professional chef and spend most of my day on my feet. When I go out at night I still want to look sharp, but don't want to torture my tired feet. The Clarks are stylish without being trendy. I didn't find the top too wide. This seems to be a very fashion forward look. They go well with pants and skirts. The quality is excellent. I just bought these and haven't street-tested them yet, but so far they seem to do the Clarks name proud. They have that rare combo of stylish but comfortable - they are so well designed that the heel doesn't feel high at all. It's true that the ankle is really wide and my heel slips around a little in these, but that doesn't seem to affect the comfort factor, at least as I am walking around my apartment. I don't have narrow ankles by any means - but this shoe must have been designed for a hippopotamus' ankle. I guess I prefer a tighter fit around the ankle. I wanted these to work out, because they looked great on - just could foresee myself twisting my ankles on a daily basis due to the way these fit. Because of that, I have a hard time buying shoes and boots. If the shoe or boot is not exactly right, I can't wear it. Clarks are the only brand I have been able to wear. The Clark Somers feel like soft butter. They are so comfortable, I can wear them all day at work. Thank you Zappos and Clarks, without you I would have a big problem! Top |
