Look:Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Comfortable and casual - This is a comfortable shoe, although large in ankle. I wish I had gotten a half size smaller. It's casual, but good for jeans only, in my opinion. The footbed is very soft and cushiony, and the traction on the bottom is excellent. I had no problems wearing the Clarks Altoona all day. I don't normally like to spend so much on shoes, but you do get what you pay for. I think it is worth the price. I really like the fact that at Zappos, they have a search for "comfort" shoes/boots. Initially, I purchased a 9 1/2 size boot, but there were too big so I exchanged for a size 9 and I'm quite happy with the fit. These boots are comfy for every day wear. Very comfortable and looks very nice, and I can tell that it is made well. One thing that I am wondering is, does anyone else notice that the left one is bigger than the right one? Maybe it is just my feet. I did have to get a half size smaller than my normal shoe size for them to fit well. The sole is flexible and insole slightly padded. The fit is just right. The only concern is that, because they were very true to size, I should have ordered them a half size larger to accommodate heavier socks when it is cold.
