I am looking forward to tromping through the snow in these and plan on even taking them snowshoeing ...Just as a note, though, the box they came in had a note from UGG that said all UGG shoes should fit comfortably tight so that the shoe can mold to your foot. I wish I had known that as I think I would have gone a half-size down. However, they are only slightly big and will fit fine with larger socks, so I should be okay. The heel is high enough to be flattering, but I can wear it all day. It felt true to size, but my left foot is a 1/2 size smaller than my right. I was a little worried, since I have bunions and both ankles still swell a little at the end of the day from previous ankle injuries. I was afraid the elastic strap might be too tight, but when I slipped them on, I was shocked at how comfortable they are. The interior space is plenty wide for my feet, and the strap helps keep this shoe on my klutzy feet, and the look is really elegant without being dowdy. I've been wearing them with dress pants and the heel height is perfect - they're low enough to walk around in and high enough to be dressy and unlike my other dress shoes, I do not even think "I can't WAIT to get these off!" I LOVE the vintage styling. I got them in suede - perfect for fall! I buy shoes that are too narrow for my wide-ish feet, but these (after removing the comfy insoles at least for now) are amazingly comfortable! I love the way they look, too - unique and kind of funky... they go so well with my hippie/flannel shirt/scarf/cardigan/grandma-ish look... highly recommended. I normally wear an 8M and had to go to a 9 in the Apple Jane - but I LOVE IT! It is light to wear, fits close to the foot - but not tight, has lots of support, and is flattering to the foot and ankle. I think this shoe would work equally with a dress (probably with black tights) or with pants. I am 6'1" barefoot so I love these stylish shoes with a low heel. I choose the brown suede ones and they go with all my non black outfits. I usually order a 12W but these were not available in W so I tried the 12. They fit great! So if you are not normally a W you may want to try the N sizes. They are all day comfortable. I have a desk job but still need to walk a lot as I work in a very large building. I want more like this! I ordered these in burgundy suede in size 8.5 (I have other Clarks shoes in the same size). They were uncomfortably snug, so I exchanged them for a 9. At the same time I ordered the black leather in a 9. Surprise! The burgundy 9s fit, but the black 9s are too big. I'm keeping them anyway and will use an insole. The strap (which I thought might be ugly) is just fine, and holds the shoe secure if you have a narrow heel like mine. Plus the height is just right. I bought them in gray and burgundy, and the burgundy is very deep; almost a purple, and lovely. I love the way they look - even though they have a low heel, they look like high heels! I have a hard time finding shoes that don't hurt my feet. My only complaint is that the 7 1/2 felt about a half size smaller, while the 8 felt a little less than a half size larger due to the width. The heel height is reasonable and I like how it has a nice feminine curve to it. The shoes are a very neutral look with pants - you don't notice them too much. I wanted to get the burgundy suede, but at the time I bought them only the black leather was available in my size. They worked beautifully (if a little too conservatively) with jeans and cute knee highs. They fit beautifully, and were perfectly comfortable for walking around sidewalks and streets that varied from paved to cobblestone. Pants completely cover the elastic strap, but it isn't that obvious anyway. This is also an extremely comfortable heel height, and I rarely wear heels. I don't normally wear a heel anymore...but needing something with a little heel for dressing up here and there. I got them in the black suede, really wanted the plain black leather, but they weren't in my size.
