They were comfortable for the hours and hours I wore them. They are pretty stylish too. My only gripe is that the color of the taupe shoes is somewhat different in reality than on-line. I looked up this shoe on three different computers before I bought them, and the color looked the same on all three screens, but when they arrived they were more of a medium/light brown with no golden undertone at all. I just want you to be aware of that. I wear either a 5.5 or 6, and got them in size six which fits perfectly because I wear slightly plush socks with them to keep my feet warm. 2008-11-11 10:23:24 Clarks Cheery Reviewer: Anonymous from Boston, MA Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Clarks Artisan Cheery - I thought the heel was unstable. Something about the way they are shaped. I put them on and right away almost tripped, they made my foot buckle inward. On the other hand they are very well made, lovely solid construction, definitely high quality and nicer than other Clarks I have tried. I am usually a 7 but these were roomy and I would have needed a 6.5 if I had kept them. If you are between sizes you might try the smaller size. 2008-11-01 22:29:56 Clarks Cheery Reviewer: Lisa from Ohio Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Love these! I absolutely love this shoe and wonder why it doesn't come in more colors. They are better looking in person than in the pic, IMO and just seem to know what to do on your foot, unlike so many weird, awkward-looking booties these days that make you look like you have marionette feet. Not these. I've gotten so many compliments on them! I currently have them in black leather but I'd love to also get them in a suede or in a deep red or dark green leather. I'm not crazy about the other color they are available in -- the light brown. But I may wind up getting the light brown anyway simply because I'm wearing the black pair so often; I really need another color to break up the monotony. As far as comfort, these are OK. For most people, they would be fantastic. But my feet are very picky and prone to getting very sore if the fit and design are even slightly off. These aren't as comfy as the Clarks Artisan Marillas I own or the other Artisan ankle booties I tried on in a store; they felt like they needed a little more cushioning. So I added a double thick Dr. Scholl's foam insert and they are good to go! These are so chic and versatile! Why aren't other colors and finishes available??? Oh yeah, strange thing about these Artisans -- when you first try on the correct size, they feel slightly too big. But after about 30 minutes in them, they seem to conform perfectly to the size and shape of your foot. As always, thanks, Zappos! 2008-10-19 06:17:46 Clarks Cheery Reviewer: Anonymous from Long Island, New York Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Comfort with a heel - The most comfortable shoe that has a heel I have ever owned. Not the best looking shoe I have, but who cares when it is so comfortable. Great for walking on all day long. 2008-09-28 14:27:54 Clarks Cheery Reviewer: Charles P from Connecticut Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support This is a great pair of shoes. They're super light (way lighter than the flats anyone else on my team has) but also have decent support and shock absorption. My only complaint is that there is a pressure point at the back where I get blisters if I don't put tape over the spot. It feels like you have a huge rock in your shoe unless you tape it but with tape it\'s fine. My friend with the same shoes had the exact same problem. All in all, the one spot is totally worth it considering the weight to support ratio. My last suggestion is that you take out the stupid rubber spikes when trying them on or else they'll feel really weird. The rubber spikes are basically pointless unless you run in a league that doesn't allow metal spikes. Top |
