Look:I love this shoe. I have considered buying more pairs for when these wear out. So far no wear and I have had them about a year. They hold up great and are very professional. They are the most comfortable shoe I have and stylish too. I am now shopping for a brown pair of shoes and am sticking to Clarks as it seems most of their shoes have great reviews like this one. They now have a life-long customer in me! The Clark's Utica is awesome. I have wide feet and have found it difficult to find fashionable, sexy shoes for, as I like to call them, my duck feet. These shoes, once I found the right size (I'm used to buying larger sizes of the medium-width shoes to get my foot into them...and still disappointed in the way they feel), have been wonderful to wear with dress pants, even skirts. I have a bunion on one foot, and a recovering foot from bunion surgery. These shoes are so comfortable, neither of my feet hurt after wearing them for hours. I love the platform on the shoes to offset the height of the heel. It allows me to wear my pants longer (I'm only 5'1") without being up on my toes all day. And, while these are more comfortable than most shoes out there--especially to be so good-looking--they don't quite measure up to my good ol' Alethias. After a year of wearing them almost daily, I can still feel that deliciously cushy comfort beneath my tootsies that just isn't quite as cushy with the Utica to begin with. I received Utica from my husband for Christmas and they are really great. They are comfortable; I can shop for hours in them and keep going when I get home. They look very stylish, like a boot when I wear pants. They look great with jeans or skirts. The neatest part of the Utica is the detailing. The little leather strip around the side and the box of the toe, I think, really adds class to the shoe. The insert of the elastic on the inside of the shoe is a comfort addition. They are so comfortable I wear one of the two pairs I have almost everyday to work, even though we are not required to dress up. When I get home I often keep them on while I'm cooking dinner which is odd because I usually get barefoot as quickly as possible. They look great with dresses, skirts, pants, or jeans. They are very padded inside and feel good on my messed up feet. I have very high arches and always put arch supports in my shoes. This often times makes dress shoes feel too full inside. These have plenty of arch support so I don't need to add supports. The heel is nice and high but substantial so I feel comfortable carrying my child over the snow and ice while wearing them. They really are wonderful! Thanks to Clarks for having wide sizes too!
