Look:These shoes are absolutely wonderful. I have real problematic feet - always hurting, high bony growth on tops of feet, for one. They run a bit big, I could have gone a 1/2 size smaller. Will definitely get another pair. I was blown away with the shipping. Ordered on a Saturday, they were at my house Monday night. For someone who shudders to shop for shoes, I am sold on Zappos! Look:I ordered these shoes in the narrow and the medium. Turns out the narrow was perfect, although I do have a narrow-ish foot, I don’t usually order that. These shoes are very light, they hold onto your foot nicely, and I specifically wanted them for a trip to NYC where a lot of walking was involved (pedometer... from 8-10 miles per day!) I had worn them in the house a bit, but I essentially wore them right out of the box and they were perfection. A slight heel kept them looking and feeling a bit more city oriented, plus they were smooth, simple, clean lined looking with just a bit of zip due to the cross over design. The lightness, the support, and the hugging to your foot nature of the design made these the perfect walking shoe. Look:I’ve always sworn by Clarks but this particular shoe was a great disappointment--and I didn't discover how loose in the heel it was until I had worn it to a fancy wedding. I could hardly walk in these shoes, much less dance, so I went in my stocking feet which didn't do much for my pantyhose. I paid full price for these shoes so I am determined to wear them. Only one complaint: because the heel is partly stretchy ribbon, it tends to slip off your heel. It can feel like you are going to lose the shoe. I would recommend putting in a heel grip. I f you love black patent like I do, give this shoe a try. I want to say that I love Zappos as well. Even when I find a shoe on another website I find it on Zappos and purchase it from Zappos. You will need to order several pair to get proper fit. I always wear an 11W in Clarks and work all day on my feet in them. The 11W fell off my feet and there were no 10W or 11M to exchange; but my awesome Zappos representitive found me both from a competitor’s site and hunted down the phone number. Both sizes still slip off my heel, frustrating. Who do I contact to complement that great phone rep? I was looking for a good looking career shoe that would accommodate my narrow heel and provide much needed insole support for my high arches. I also needed a comfortable shoe that wasn't too "soft" to provide needed balance assistance for my right ankle and calf which has a 20% strength deficit due to an Achilles tendon tear and repair two years ago. A tall order for a nice looking career shoe! I would recommend these to anyone looking for these hard to find features. Thanks Zappos and Clarks!! All my shoes are Clarks the Geneva are comfortable, however the back of the shoe is loose, I can feel my heel going in and out when I walk. I worried about getting blisters on my heel. I wear a 10 1/2 M, but depending on the manufacturer, I sometimes have to get a 10 1/2 W, or even an 11, since most shoe manufacturers don't bother to make a 10 1/2 size. I haven't worn this shoe "out" yet, but I wore them around the house after I received them. I ordered them to wear with skirts. I have plenty of black flats to wear with pants. I plan to wear them with tights rather than trouser socks or regular socks, so they are a little "sloppy" when I wear them with tights. But, since the vamp is rather high, I don't think they'll fall off! I'm a fourth grade teacher, so I need a shoe that I can wear all day, mostly standing and walking, without worrying about my feet hurting! I'll definitely keep them. I thought the price was a little steep compared to some other Clarks I got in a Clarks store. To the tune of $40 more. I have been hunting for a comfortable yet stylish dress shoe for about six years. I was very disappointed, because they were otherwise super comfortable. They have enough of a heel to not look too clunky, but you feel like you're wearing cushy flats. Top |
