The invisible thong keeps my foot from scooting too far forward making the Gleam very comfortable for city strolling. Everything about it is perfect except for the fact that it has a slightly narrow width. The strap feels fine and doesn't rub. However, it feels as though my feet are slightly over the sides of the shoe – and I've never had problems with widths before. The strap in the front is a little tight. So you may need to buy them a half size bigger than your size. If you have a wide foot don’t think about buying. I wear a 6.5 M, which I ordered, and my foot was smothering the footbed and oozed over the top. [It made me think of Cinderella's evil step sister trying it on, and I'm a petite gal, so that was bizarro.] The bottom is very narrow and didn't contain my foot. The toe thong keeps shoe on the foot, but has wicked thwap thwap when you walk. Really cute and just dressed up enough to go to work and also for casual dress. The perfect summer sandal. The lining and footbed are so soft, no rubbing anywhere. A very comfortable thong that is hidden beneath the band. Bought the brown and came back for two more, the white and the black.
