Look:I really liked the look of this Clarks shoe. However, the sizing is WAY OFF. I ordered a 9.5 and had to return them for a full size smaller. I got out my ruler----a 9.5 is supposed to be 10 inches long. The 9.5 was actually 11.2 inches long. Too bad - this one was very comfy besides that. Look:Zappos is a joy to deal with - service is very prompt, and the selection of shoes is unparalleled. My Clarks "Caterina" sandals are so comfortable; it's like wearing your favorite slippers. I've been trying to get these shoes since last year, but my size was unavailable everywhere I looked. I put myself on the wait list at Zappos, and they notified me when the shoes became available. I ordered immediately and had the shoes within 2 days! Look:I originally bought these sandals because I liked the somewhat dressy look, the heel height, etc. When they arrived they were a little stiff for a few hours, but that soon resolved itself. They were also slightly longer than other 8 1/2s I have ordered. I wore them twice, enjoyed them, but noticed after two wearings that the strap on the top had disengaged from the binding and was hanging by a single thread. Zappos took them back without a complaint and I then ordered the half size smaller. Although I like these sandals, and Clarks is a great brand, I hope these new ones don't have the same problem. Look:I usually love Clarks with this type of footbed. It feels like walking on a cloud. But, I have had a problem with the cutout detail being rough against my foot. They were a little snug at first, and are better since they have loosened up. I'm still afraid that walking any distance in them will cause a blister or be painful. There are no hot spots or areas that rub. The arch support is solid. I wear them with my pants while walking a tradeshow and I have yet to get a blister. I wish the heel was a little snappier to look at so they would look more fun but this is my 3rd pair of the same shoe. Ordered this sandal in the birch color - it looks great with brown shades and is super comfortable. No break-in problems, no rubbing. I hesitated because the leather reminded me of the old huarache style sandal, which I never liked, but this one is a winner. And I'm always amazed at the service and speed of delivery from Zappos - to place an order one day (or night!) and the shoes are waiting on my front porch the next day is the best. The sole was nice and soft, but the perforated leather was very stiff and rubbed my foot at the edges of the cut-outs. Not comfy at all! Look:I am SOO in love with Clarks Caterina slides! These are my first Clarks but they won't be my last. I have multiple foot issues and these are so incredibly comfortable. As a teacher, I am on my feet all day, and for the first time in a very long time, I can make it all the way through the day without experiencing pain in the ball of my foot area. The padding is wonderful, the leather uppers have not caused one bit of blister, and the styling is very nice. Comfy, cute, and goes with everything. The only point I can add that I hadn't seen mentioned before was, I 1st chose them in the cream color, but that was not a pretty color, kind of blah beige, and made them old lady looking. Now I am almost an old lady (at 59) but that doesn't mean I want to look like it!! Other than that the brown is a great color, and I love the sandals. Hurry up spring! I liked this shoe so much that I now have it in 3 colors. My foot is wide, but not wide enough for a wide size. This shoe fit me perfectly. The only problem I have is the lattice work doesn't seem to be wearing as well as I expected.
