Look: These shoes felt comfortable enough but the toe was really long. I think that was part of the style because where it narrowed is where my toe actually hit, but I felt my feet looked as though they were wearing clown shoes. They felt right as soon as I put them on. The real test was the day I had to walk home from the lightrail system one evening. My feet felt like they had the support of walking tennis shoes. Look:Wow - what a great shoe! The Clarks Partridge shoes are stylish, sassy, elegant, AND comfortable! They fit true to size, which is wonderful (most shoes my size -- 11 -- are really tight in the toe, as if longer feet somehow got freakishly narrow at the toe). I bought this shoe in two colors, I liked them so much. Look:I work in San Francisco, which means lots of hills and concrete, and I walk to and from the BART station everyday. Honestly, after wearing these for less than 20 minutes once I was in the city, I wanted to take them back. There was no ankle support whatsoever, which means that my heel came up, and I rolled my ankle twice, really hurting myself the second time. Not cool. The heel is just not wide enough and the leather not stiff enough around to be safe for walking quickly. Look:Agree with the commenters that the shoe is both boring and super comfortable. Very solid heel, cushioning is great, but overall - meh. The toe is rounded/pointed just like so many other shoes. Look:These shoes, which I bought to wear to the office, were comfortable from the start. The heel height is perfect, giving height without causing discomfort by the end of the day. The shoes were true to size, yet were slightly too wide in the heel for my foot. I have since ordered a pair of the black since I bought the brown ones while out of town on business. I had ordered a size 8 the week before but they felt too small so I sent them back and exchanged them for a size 8.5. At first these felt just right, but after wearing them only a couple times I started noticing they were becoming a little too loose, so much so that now I think I will have to go and buy an insole. I am a bit disappointed about this. Comfortable except for a little loose in the heel. As far as the looks, I like the look of the shoe except for the coloring of the leather. It's a darker color on both shoes on the pointed part of the toe of the shoe, but not enough to send it back. I have always ordered a half size larger and they always fit, so that is what I did for the Winthrop. I was so disappointed when they were actually a whole size too big! I love the looks and they feel very cushiony, which is what I am looking for as I am on my feet all day. It seems they are going to have a moderate arch support. Can't be sure since they were so much too big. I will be sending them back and ordering a whole size shorter. The only other thing is the sides of the shoe are made from a different material and are not a true black as they show in the picture, but when wearing with long pants that shouldn't be an issue. I give this pair 4 stars because of the fit issue. Other than that they are great! Top |
