I thought the price would be worth it if they were comfortable and went well with a lot of clothes. They looked like they would be comfortable, looked not too dressy but nice enough for work. Unfortunately, they are unwearable for me. They rub me raw just under my ankle bone. It\'s horribly painful, and my skin is cut after walking only a short while. Definitely not a good purchase for me. 2009-09-02 07:35:45 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Brenda Thacker from Texas Overall: I absolutely love this pair of shoes! I wore them right out of the box! I wear these shoes to work, and my feet never hurt! I have narrow feet, and, surprisingly, I didn't have to get a narrow in this shoe because the normal size fits great! I believe this pair of shoes will last a LONG time! 2009-08-29 19:37:29 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Veronica from North Hollywood, Ca Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Best Mary Jane - I love this shoe. I bought this shoe based on the reviews. I love Mary Janes. All shoes should be made this well. I love the cushiony feel inside and on the back ankle portion. My feel love this and my ankles do too. RTW (ready to wear) straight from the box. I only wished I could buy them in red. Nonetheless, it's a great investment in a Mary Jane shoe. 2009-08-13 14:16:37 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Anonymous from Texas Overall: I don't think these shoes are dowdy looking at all. They look like Mary Janes, because that's what they are. Also, they're cuter in person than they look in the photo. I like them because they're well made. I have a very high arch and usually wear orthotics, which fit in these shoes, since they have a removable insole. 2009-08-01 19:58:21 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: CJ from Missouri Overall: One of my favorite pairs of shoes. Very comfortable! I usually wear mine without socks. Soft leather with pillow soles. Thought they look cute in capris or jeans. 2009-07-30 07:21:25 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Jfire28 from Fort Worth, Texas Overall: Shoe Size: Felt a full size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: No arch support Clunky for being a Clark - I had high hopes for these shoes, but was disappointed in the end. I've been an avid fan of Clarks shoes for over 10 years. I love the quality the company provides for women & their ability to understand that women need to have comfy shoes to walk about in. But these unfortunately didn't make the grade for me. Another reviewer stated that they looked like "Grandma shoes"; well, I agree that the Mary-Jane style doesn't come through very well. I was also disappointed in the fit. The shoe felt smaller, like it was dunked in a bath of hot water & dried out in the hot sun before shipping. The foot-bed has a pillow-like quality, which would be perfect for tiled or concrete surfaces. However, I just don't feel up to the challenge of breaking them in properly, knowing that my footsies would take a definite beating with these. Will continue shopping with Zappos, love their service! 2009-07-18 10:56:41 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Anonymous from castro valley, ca Overall: Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked Shoe Arch: No arch support comfortable but dowdy looking - These shoes are comfortable but real dowdy looking; the thick shoes make them look like grandma's shoes. The heel runs wide for normal width feet. It runs about half size too large. However, they are high quality leather shoes. 2009-05-18 08:06:32 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Heather from Plano, Texas Overall: Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Picky first time buyer - I must have tried on half of the Clarks store before I settled on these shoes. The lamb skin liner is amazing. It feels like wearing kid leather socks. The cushion at Achilles is wonderful. The cushion beneath the heel is galley yet firm and not too spongy, so the heel is gently and thoroughly supported with very little give. I have high arches that the footbed does not completely fill in, but the part of the arch nearest the heel has nice counter pressure, which might even make all the difference. I expected the unstructured air vent system to completely solve the moisture and shoe stick problem, but it isn't exactly what I expected. The lamb skin on the sides and top of the foot is perfect, but the footbed liner sticks to the sole of your foot. I do have less sweating than in normal shoes, though, so I suppose the sticking of the sole is due more to the material type of the liner than the ineffectiveness of the air vent system. My normal size of 9.5 slipped off the heel and the half size smaller of 9 fits perfectly with and without socks. 2009-04-26 14:18:26 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Anonymous from West Palm Beach Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support My Favorite All Time Shoe - I bought these when I was pregnant for the comfort factor. I continue to have bone spurs on one of my feet. They remain my go-to shoe for any occasion where a lot of walking or standing is involved - IMO they are far superior to any other shoe (including Clarks) that I have ever owned. Too bad they are a bit too casual and chunky to get away with at work, too. They are exceptionally well made. 2009-04-08 05:20:11 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Anonymous from Harrisburg, PA Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Very comfy, even with a broken toe! I recently broke my little toe and was having a hard time getting on any shoes (except one trusty pair of Keens). Decided to order these after trying them on in a local Clarks store. (Always much more affordable to order them from Zappos!) Very comfortable from the first time I put them on (especially on the foot with the non-broken toe). Can't wait till my toe heals completely because these will then be the perfect walking shoe for a trip to England we're taking later this year. They seem to run true to size. I wish Clarks would make them in some lighter colors for spring/summer. 2009-03-10 05:18:28 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Anonymous from Chico, CA Overall: Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Great shoe - I am a restaurant supervisor and walk about 5-10 miles a day; these are the only shoes that don't give me pain at the end of the day! I have tried several other brands particularly slip proof shoes, but these are the best. 2009-01-18 20:01:54 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Anonymous from Oregon Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Great shoes! These are great shoes! Very comfortable, and lightweight but still sturdy. The 'button' is attached to the shoe by way of an elastic cord. The strap stretches enough so you don't need to unbutton them to slip the shoes on or off. I have bone spurs on the joint of my big toe, which makes shoes some shoes tricky to wear. When the edge of the leather hits the bone spurs - OUCH!! These shoes, however, are perfect! The joint is perfectly centered in the open area above the strap, so I can wear them without any pain. Highly recommended. Not real dressy, but not too casual. They're perfect for my office's business casual attire. 2009-01-02 20:31:15 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Mary B from San Diego Overall: Shoe Size: Felt a full size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Cute but size is way off - I am normally a size 8.5. I own several pairs of Unstructured shoes and am consistently an 8 because they all run about a half size large. I wish I'd gotten these in a 7.5 as I walk out of them unless I wear moderately thick socks. I also wish they were shaped slightly differently--I'm opposed to toe-cleavage. However, that said, I love these shoes. I broke my back in April and my shoe options are still very limited. These are very comfortable but nice looking enough that I can wear them to work. The insole is quite thick and squishy; they have a lot of support, and have thick rubber soles. The inside is soft leather and they breathe quite nicely. I have them in red and particularly like them in this color. But for this line of Clarks, I'd be stuck wearing running shoes all the time, so I'm very happy they exist. 2008-12-14 17:36:16 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Anonymous from New York Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Super Comfort - I love them! I am 5 months pregnant and was looking for something super comfortable and found them. The cushion is unbelievable. I splurged and bought two pair. They have plenty of room for socks and extra padding all around the inside of the shoe. 2008-12-05 12:12:08 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Mama_l from Atlanta, Georgia Overall: Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Not the shoe for me. I purchased this shoe even though I wear a narrow based on the salesperson's assurance that with a no-slip heel pad it would work out fine. Well, after a day of walking over Labor Day Weekend, I have now lost the nail on one toe and may lose a second one from the damage cause by this ill-fitting shoe. To make matters worse, I did not keep the store receipt so I can't return them. If you have a narrow foot, avoid this style. 2008-12-04 10:09:10 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Anonymous from Los Angeles Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support So comfortable! I absolutely love these shoes. The footbed is really comfortable. I have bunions on both feet and it is really difficult for me find comfortable shoes. I am on my feet all day and I feel great at the end of the day. Can be worn with pants or casual skirts. 2008-12-02 07:22:40 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Anonymous from Pennsylvania Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support A long search - I can't tell you how wonderful these shoes are! Soooo comfortable & excellent fit. I really have been waiting a long time to find something like these. I actually ordered another Clark unstructured shoe in a different style & love it to. I think Clark Unstructured is my new brand. 2008-10-17 19:17:40 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Sheri S from Midwest Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Cute and Comfy! Saw these advertised in a magazine and said, "Gotta have those!" When they arrived (super fast) from Zappos, I gave them the "walk on the carpet" and kept right on going through the rest of the house! They were so cute and comfy that I wore them the rest of the day. Fit true to size (Clarks has my size/fit perfect), and feel great. 2008-10-12 06:04:08 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Anonymous from Central Pennsylvania Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Incredibly comfortable! I'm a teacher who is on my feet all day long. These shoes were instantly comfortable without any "break in" time needed. They're very cool looking too. I only wish they weren't so expensive. Otherwise, I'd buy one in each color! 2008-09-25 22:36:54 Clarks Un.poem Reviewer: Anonymous from Vancouver, BC CANADA Overall: Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Awesome shoe - needs a little adjustment - Very comfortable, great support, breaths good. Just found the throat of the shoe, tight and needed to be stretched. Not the best style for people with bunions. I had to buy a 1/2 size smaller than normal. Top |
