Very stylish with jeans or a skirt. I normally do not wear high heels but these are so comfortable. It is fairly wide in the front for those with wide feet. I have been on my feet all day and put these on about a hour ago. Very, very comfortable. I'm more of a flat shoe kind of person but wanted a pair of mules with some heel to them. These fit the bill. They’re stylish and comfortable. The insole has some cushion which makes them feel good while walking. Zappos was incredible with their turn around time. I took them to work for the initial day of wear and am glad that I have a desk job - but have to admit the adjustment wasn't too bad. The clogs are quite comfy although I've noticed that my foot wants to slide forward in them just a bit. I'm not sure if they are just a tad too long or a bit stretchy - or maybe my socks are slippery! Arch support is moderate. Regardless, they are well made, comfortable, easy to adjust to. I was on my feet for several hours at a function a few days after getting these and while my feet were toast at the end, I didn't get the "numbness" sensation I've gotten from heels in the past - that makes these winners in my book. I agree with other comments on the coloring of the black clog - it is not a true dark black, so don't expect it. Didn't fit snug enough across the top of the foot. I don't think they felt like a full size larger than marked because the length seemed okay - just too wide for my foot that's not a true medium. I always hope to get a medium that runs a little narrow, so I'll just try another style. I could probably go shopping in these. I do have heel problems, so if all Clarks shoes feel this way, I have a new favorite brand. They look great with jeans. I am glad I went up 1/2 a size. I teach yoga and have feet that have a preference to being bare or in comfortable shoes. When I also became a mother, I found myself stuck in the rut of Uggs and Danskos with some flats for variation, but never wearing my beautiful higher heeled shoes. These are a perfect compromise. They truly are comfortable. There is a great deal support at the ball of the foot. I ordered and tried on the Borns, Sofft, and these higher heeled and went with the Clarks. Very cute, too. I wear my Octavias almost every time I walk out the door. Even after many hours of running around, I can still feel the cushioning in the sole and sort of luxuriate in it. I wouldn't call these anything but casual--and they look terrific with jeans--but they're a hip, very attractive kind of casual. As others have mentioned, the black is not terribly black (and that's the main reason I consider them casual only). To me, it looks like the faded black of a garment that's been much laundered. Might be an issue if you're wearing an all-black outfit with black stockings, cause these probably wouldn't match. I followed the advice from the reviews and ordered a half size larger than my normal size cause my feet are slightly wide and other Clark shoes have proven to be a little tight in width and they fir perfectly. I ordered these shoes in black and went up half a size as reviewers recommended. I love them and the fit is perfect. The width is perfect and the heels are perfect. They are a solid black leather with a light orangy-yellow stitching. Look fantastic with long jeans. They actually look like boots with the jeans. I would highly recommend these very, very comfortable and stylish clogs. The black is black. They are a dull non shiny surface black, maybe that is the reason for a couple reviewers saying they are brownish black, I don't know. I don't see that and feel the stitching contrast may possibly be an optical illusion for some... Who knows but these are winners! Yes, I was very skeptical about those reviews that claimed all-day comfort for a mule with this size heel. I was happy to discover they were right! OK, I wouldn't want to walk for miles in them, but for an average day (or night out), they're great. I've gotten tons of compliments on them because they're so attractive & versatile. These heels are so very comfortable. Padded sole is wonderful. I LOVE THEM. Cute with jeans. Foot is not too rounded to look childish. I have a narrow foot and they fit with socks; I'm a 5 to 5-1/2 and got the bigger as they are short. The tan color is very versatile and not too light.
