My opinion could be warped because most heels hurt my feet so whatever the reason these Clarks Divine are giving me more comfort than any before. The reason I selected that they may be wider than marked is the comfort of my toes although it may be that Clarks just offer more room in the toe area where so many shoes pinch. They're a heel to me that feels sturdy and part of me. It seriously feels like you're wearing running shoes. I got the rust color and it looks great with brown and black. It also looks quite vintage/retro. Really cute with jeans, skirts, pants, etc. I was surprised about how versatile and hip this shoe is. Excellent shoe. I plan on ordering them in black. My only complaint is that the seam will dig into the top of my big toe sometimes. Nothing that moleskin won't cure though. After I had a baby, I wasn't sure I would ever wear heels again. My feet are larger and wider and just feel different. However, I tried these heels and they are very comfortable. They are a tad tight at the widest part of my foot, but as I said, my feet are wider now. And, since they are leather I believe they will loosen up. In any case they are very comfortable. I finally found one! Although it took a few days to break-in, this shoe is really comfortable. I especially like the width of the heel and the adjustable strap, which give this shoe a lot of stability. In person, the shoe is even better looking than in the picture, and it's cute, but professional at the same time.
