Look:Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support This is truly as comfy as most of my flats. I am tall and don't wear heels too often (I just feel too self-conscious, towering over everyone). But if I needed the height I would buy these in every color and just wear nothing else. It's hard to believe how little they feel like walking in heels. I see that some have had discomfort across the top - I guess I could see that, but this was not the case for me. Although the cross-section of the toe box cut into my foot a bit at first, it has since developed just enough "give". These shoes are now unbelievably comfortable, even at the end of a long day on my feet and having walked over two miles to/from work. I love Clarks in general, but these shoes in particular are sassy, comfortable, stable because of the large heel, and look cute, if a bit on the casual side. I wear them, at work and receive plenty of compliments, but I couldn't wear them with suits, they're a bit too bulky. For everyday though, and for walking long distances while still looking classy - I strongly recommend them. Also, they seem to have a sense of humor, which I appreciate in shoes. With the thick platform of rubber under the ball of my foot, it not only takes the impact but also reduces the arch of the foot from the heel. My feet always hurt- even after I break in my shoes. Clarks usually do keep my feet feeling fantabulous! This pair is great for wide feet but you gotta stretch out the toe box first-I stuffed the toe box w/ material, then wore these all night at an outing- even ran in them-Kelly you can too! My feet need one more pair at least! The color does not make me look as though my husband will be belting out the Police's "Roxanne!" (Well, you know the rest). I wore these to a trade show and did not break them in before hand. Yes, a dumb move, but I didn't have the time. Regardless, they wore beautifully, felt incredibly comfortable, and gave me a different (but in a good way) look from the standard black pointy pump everyone else was wearing with their seemingly govt-issued attire. This added just the pop I needed for a dark suit. The "red" is not burgundy, but certainly isn't the bright-red either. The quality is exceptional and the comfort level is high; there is superb cushioning where it counts. They will take a break-in period at the heel and at the top near the toes (at least they did for me) because the leather is somewhat stiff in those areas. Other than that these shoes couldn't be any better for the price. I tried for a month to break this shoe in because I loved the look so much, but it just wasn't possible. Across the top of my foot, especially near the top of my big toe, the leather just dug into my skin and never stretched or relaxed to the point that it was ever comfortable. What a shame, because it is truly a good looking shoe. I would've returned it, but I was so confident that I could break them in that I threw away the necessary box and paperwork. Really comfy. However, I did have to have the toe box stretched to give a good fit and my size 7 feet are not wide. The area with the double stitching was just too tight but the shoe repair guy fixed it and also complimented the construction of the shoe and the quality of the leather. I have difficult feet to fit, so I'm excited to find cute, comfortable heels that actually flatter my feet. My fiancé even announced (in front of other people!) that he really liked this new pair of shoes. On first and second wearing, the top of the heel seam rubbed, but it softened up the way leather should, and the cushioned inner sole is fantastic! These have the feel and stability of heels half their height! My feet are "thick" top to bottom, though, and the stitched seam around the toe opening is very low. It hasn't let up much at all, so I'm going to try having them stretch it above the big toe. After ten minutes of walking around the house, I couldn't wait to get them off. And they aren't even that attractive. I also got the Champagne, and they're a better brown without the pain.
