I work in an office and wear to work daily. I walk a mile every day at lunch and the shoes are very comfortable. 2008-12-02 19:24:30 Clarks Un.coil Reviewer: Courtney from Fairfax County, VA Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Started out very well, but... I purchased the Un-Coil in the DC area in the summer of 2007. Had been eyeing another shoe and the salesperson convinced me to try the Un-structured line. Very nice looking shoe, but what sold me hands down was the comfort. Quite possibly the most comfortable (size 13) shoe I've ever worn. Purchased the Un-Coil, though the Un-structured line generally runs more expensive than the "normal" Clarks shoes. Wore the shoes to work daily for about 3 weeks, then we had rain. I bought the shoe in August during a DC area drought; in mid-September the rain came one morning. I took a five-minute walk from my car to my building and when I arrived at my desk, my foot was soaked. No, I didn't stand in the rain. No, I didn't jump childishly into every puddle I saw. My only explanation was that those holes running up and down the bottom of the shoe can't discriminate between air and water. I was incredibly disappointed. Maybe I just had a bad pair, but the experience turned me off of the Un-structured line. This is unfortunate (for me) because the shoes are stylish and man, are they comfortable. 2008-07-30 18:01:22 Clarks Un.coil Reviewer: Wayno92122 from California Overall: Shoe Size: Felt a half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width Good Casual work shoe - This shoe works great. I wear orthopedic inserts in my shoes and this has plenty of room inside to accommodate them. I give it 4 stars for comfort because it is advertised as a lightweight well ventilated shoe. While they are lightweight and comfortable they do get a bit warm. Regardless I would still highly recommend them. 2008-05-19 18:59:28 Clarks Un.coil Reviewer: Pj from San Antonio, TX Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Pretty darn Comfortable!!!!! First of all, I was really IMPRESSED with the shipping of my item...I ordered Saturday morning and got them on Monday!!!!...I tried these on at the mall and I had to purchase these shoes...Tomorrow will be the first day I wear them but I can already feel they are going to be great. I was wearing Johnston Murphy Bicycle Shuler, which were comfortable as well... 2008-04-12 22:14:13 Clarks Un.coil Reviewer: Anonymous from Jonesboro, AR Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Clarks Unbend - I dont quite understand the marketing appeal of the series name "Unstructured" Personally, I like my shoes to be um..."well structured". Anyway, on with my review. First I really like the contour of the footbed. It conforms more closely to the sole of my feet more than any casual shoe I've found in many years. The arch is actually centered where it needs to be. It has a higher arch than most but if it were a little fuller it would be perfect... but that would be too much to ask as I havent had a perfect fit in years. The shoe is pretty comfortable all around with no perceived pressure points in the upper. The only thing I really DON'T like about the shoe is the extra wide toe box. I admit I do have a slightly narrow foot (B width heel) but I think the toe box on the shoe is a bit wider then a true medium width. This, for me ruins an otherwise near perfect fit. It feels like there is 1/2" of side to side play in the forefoot area. Yes I could put in an extra insole, which is every salesman's cure-all for a sloppy fit. But that never feels right and usually causes the foot to be pushed forward in the shoe causing pressure points on the top of the foot not to mention more heat buildup. And NO, of course this shoe doesnt come in any narrow sizes. That would be INSANE. Why should anyone with a narrow foot who needs good arch support have a good fitting, good looking comfortable shoe? They should just be happy with the same old geriatric looking styles that have been around for 10 or more years. I'm still debating whether to keep the shoes because of the comfortable, yet loose forefoot area. Oddly the heel of the shoe actually doesn't slip on my narrow heel. The extra wide sole on the forefoot of the shoe even looks goofy to me...not really as apparent in the photos. I guess its the style now, but it looks really dumb if you have thin legs. Enough of my rant, If you have a narrow heel and really wide forefoot, high arch, and wide enough legs to compliment the almost clown shoe look of this shoe, then go for it!! 2008-01-19 21:31:25 Clarks Un.coil Reviewer: Zerofish from Texas Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Tightly Uncoiled - The look and style of the shoe is extremely nice and the padding is very comfortable. Also the shoes breathe well making your feet feel cool and dry. I found these shoes however narrower than the Clarks Portland (same size and width) causing a bit of a pinch on the outside of my foot.
