The longer I have the shoe on, the more comfortable it is. For some reason, first thing in the morning they tend to turn under me, but after about ten minutes, relacing them is possible and then they are good for hours. They're comfortable for walking to the Metro, for standing in the classroom, and they're not bad looking either. I've been wearing the same pair of Wallabees purchased from Zappos for about a year now. The foot bed is very comfortable and the shoes have held up well over the course of frequent wear. However, my narrow feet slide around in them and I can't seem to ever get them tied tightly enough. After hearing her talk about them, I decided to order a pair. They are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes for sport I own. Total support, as I have flat feet, you can wear them all day long and float from one place to another. On Fridays we can wear jeans to work, and the shoes go on first. I plan on ordering another pair. They are true to size, only one thing; you can never make the laces tight enough. These shoes are great-very popular where I live because they are so comfortable and can be worn pretty much everywhere. Only problem is that they run a little big, but nothing thick socks can't fix. They are leather, so they have stretched a little to fit my wide feet. A great shoe that will last years and Zappos delivered them the very next day. I recently bought another pair and they are just as comfortable as the ones I remember. My only suggestion is that they be offered in wide widths - my feet have gotten bigger than they used to be and the wide width would be appreciated. Also, I would like to see a dark brown suede in addition to the taupe color. I must agree these shoes are comfortable, with an exception of your heel slipping out in the back. If you wear a thicker sock and practice walking in these shoes, you will be okay. Look wise with it being real leather, you get your usual mark ups on occasions, but with a little cleaner you will be okay also. Overall this is a great shoe to wear worth your jeans, going shopping, or work. If they came with a slightly wider toe box I would wear them all the time. I wore out a pair of suede ones, and the leather ones are a huge improvement and will last forever. They look great (the narrow top seams make your foot seem narrower than most other "comfort" shoes) but after several hours my bunions are screaming. Still, if you have a medium to narrow foot and no bunions, these are the best! My main complaint is that the toe box is extremely narrow (in proportion to the wide heel) and it's taken a long time for it to stretch out. Also the sole is very thick and because there is little ankle support, these probably aren't good shoes for people who tend to turn their ankles easily. All in all, they're good shoes, but for the price and being Clarks, I had extremely high expectations which they didn't quite meet. I can lace it tightly on the instep but the looseness of the heel caused me to fall when I hit an uneven surface because my ankle was insecure. Will try to remedy with heel fillers but it would be so nice if Clark's could just manufacture a narrow Wallabee!
