The footbed is very comfortable. I have problems with pain on the soles of me feet. These have been very helpful in that respect. The only problem I have had is with the thong on one sandal. The bottom is soft and cushiony, and the straps are comfortable too. I'm tempted to get a second pair. I am 47 years old, need good arch support and a soft sole, and these sandals are perfect. They really do fit like a glove and their padding makes a long day pass a lot easier than it would if you were wearing just any flip flop. I do a tremendous amount of hiking, and when the weather is hot I actually wear these shoes to walk on mountain trails. In my opinion they're better than hiking boots because they're light, but they have superb support and shock absorption. Ok, if you're wearing them on a mountain pass and a snake decides to bite your toe, you're out of luck--the hiking boots would be better protection. But I love these shoes so much I'm willing to take the risk. My only complaint is that the thong that goes between the toes, which is made either of cotton or some synthetic cloth, wears out a little too quickly. I have had to throw most pairs away because of the broken thong, though the shoe itself was still in good condition. I, however, am not the average walker. I walk miles per day in rough terrain where I live. So, I can't really complain. I think the price is a bargain for what you're getting with this shoe. I have been looking everywhere for sandals that I can walk around in for hours. Thankfully, I purchased these cute sandals because I liked their design...little did I know that they would be the most comfortable sandals I have EVER purchased. I love to have lots of sandals, but now I live in these Clarks. I took my kids to Disney and walked around the park for 9 hours without aching feet. My husband wore his sandals that weren’t Clarks and he ended up with sores and blisters. I recommend these shoes to everyone. I just picked up 2 more pairs for my daughters.
