Look:Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support The best fitting shoe - I was so surprised that these shoes gave me the comfort that had hoped for since I can't remember when. I have wide feet and have never had enough room to keep me from feeling tightness over the top of my foot. These fit so good that pain from other shoes that I wear seems so fade away when I put these shoes on. I cannot have any tightness over the top of my foot and these shoes give me exactly what I need. Also the total comfort from the fit to the cushion on the bottom of the shoe inside makes this the most comfortable shoe I've worn in a long time. While these shoes are comfortable and give me the space my foot needs, I would not recommend wearing an orthotic unless the shoe size was increased. They are the only shoes that do not fall apart after a short time - in fact, some pairs have gone to work with him for a year or more! This shoe has a lower stance than his previous Clarks and that was hard for him to get used to. His only complaint was the "paper thin” tongue - not the thick padded tongue he is use to in Clarks shoes. I haven't worn them without the orthotics because there isn't a distinctive arch support in the sole (which is easily removable). I'm a woman with large and somewhat wide feet, so men's shoes serve me well and lace-ups are good for support. I wanted to fall in love with these shoes - not yet, BUT they're great for wet and cold weather. I had to return them because the shoe design narrows toward the toe and my little toes on both feet were crushed. A larger size might have helped but then they would have been too long. The previous two pairs have lasted a total of about 7 years and I wore them Monday through Friday. I highly recommend them, they are well padded, and the leather is supple and keeps a semi-glossy finish with very little maintenance.
