It is not worth spending this much for shoes that are so uncomfortable. Thanks to all customers who advised not to buy it. We were on vacation in Saratoga, N.Y. and, as we often did, stopped in the Shoe Depot in downtown Saratoga. I have a difficult time finding shoes because my size is 11A, and many shoe stores (or catalogs either for that matter) do not carry that size. And neither did Shoe Depot. But--a very nice and helpful assistant manager (at the time) with great patience was able to find shoes that actually fit me although the size was not 11A. I bought two pair--both Clarks. One, I believe, was a model called Air Flux. Well, after eight years they wore out. The Clarks Air Mover is almost identical to those I had. They are just as comfortable. I tried on several pairs, but none fit right. Disappointing because I've been wearing these shoes for years and have been impressed by the quality and comfort. The new shoes are a different shoe. Although they look similar to their British version, these are not up to par. The size was correct. They are narrower, the shoe bed is not as comfortable or forgiving, and the heel has an over accentuated bevel in it that makes the shoe feel clunky. Very disappointing when compared the original Clarks. Unfortunately I wore them long enough that I probably can't return them. Wish I could. The shoes are extremely comfortable and the uppers take a good shine and look like new. However, the sole on one shoe has developed a hole and there are no available means for repair. Look:Used to be the best! I am a pharmacist, I work all day standing up and these were the only shoes I could use. I have bought around 10 pairs of them. The last one I bought was extremely uncomfortable and I just found out they are made in China now. I don't care if they raise the price, but do get them again from England, please! They are EXTREMELY narrow. I had to put two wool socks over a shoe tree to stretch the left shoe. I had to do this for a week before it was tolerable. If you wear a wide width shoe like I do, I would keep looking for a different shoe. The arch doesn't feel as high as the older pairs either. I would have paid more to get a pair of the same quality that I got that were not Chinese made. It's a sad day for me because I now have to hunt high and low to find a decent shoe that I can walk and stand in. I have 2 different size feet and these are the only shoe I have ever worn that I do not run over on the small foot. The only criticism I might offer is the upper eyelets seem to cut the laces fairly quickly. Also the laces are not standard size. I live 50 miles from the shoe store that carries your product. This is a hassle when a shoe string breaks. Without a doubt these are the finest shoes I have ever owned. Thank you for your product. This is the first time I have ever offered an evaluation. I bought a new pair, same size, same width as always and they were considerably smaller and narrower than the previous pairs. They now have a very wierd fit and don't feel like they have the same quality. I see they're now made in China. Oh well, time to switch to a new brand. They are not the same quality as when they were made in England or Portugal they feel too stiff as if the material isn't as natural. They are made in China now and the quality isn't there anymore, but they are priced as high as they used to be - no savings with the cheaper labor - a pity. Look:THESE THINGS HAVE CHANGED! My 5 star rating is for the older version (made in Portugal) and not the new ones (Made in China). I've worn these things for over ten years, every day to work. I have nerve problems in my feet and these shoes literally saved me when I found them. I thought I'd take'm to the grave, except the new ones fit totally different. The look the same, but when you try them on, they are much much smaller. I sent them back. Luckily, with Zappos I was able to find several other brands of comfort shoes that will replace my Clark's.
