Return Policy and Warranty

Need to Return Your Online Purchase? It's easy, and it's FREE!
  • If you are not happy with your online purchase, we will be happy to accept a return.
  • You can return your online purchase for up to 365 days from the purchase date. Products must be in the condition you received them and in the original box.
  • Return shipping is absolutely free. We will provide you with a pre-paid UPS domestic or USPS domestic label to return the purchase to us.*
  • Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer, we will take care of everything.

*Please note to use our pre-paid labels, shipments must be sent from the United Sates.

Here's what you need to do:

Online Return Instructions
  1. Log in to your account from the My Account page.
  2. Once you are logged in, locate the "Order History" section and click the Order # of the purchase you wish to return.
  3. Click on the "Proceed to Return Process" button on the Order Information page.
  4. On the Return Request page check the item(s) that you would like to return on the Return column and click the "Return Checked Items" button.
  5. Choose to display the label for immediate printing or to have it sent to you in the mail and click the "Continue" button.
  6. Print the Return Confirmation page and include it with the products that you wish to return. Once we have received your return at our warehouse, we will refund your card and send you email confirmation that your return is completed.
  7. If you choose to print a UPS return label, then tape your UPS return label to your box, then drop it off at any authorized UPS Shipping Center Find the UPS Service Center nearest to you.
  8. If you choose to print a USPS return label, then tape your USPS return label to your box, then either drop it off at your nearest post office or hand it to your USPS mail carrier. For both UPS and USPS domestic service, the products will be mailed back to us FREE of charge.

What is your retail store return/warranty policy?
Shoes should be returned to the store where they were originally purchased with your receipt. Retailers' return policies vary by store so please check the return policy at the store where your shoes were purchased.

Some Clarks retailers also participate in the Clarks 30-day Comfort Guarantee. If you purchased your shoes at a participating retailer, and are dissatisfied with their comfort, you may return them to the store within 30 days from the date of purchase, along with your original receipt.

We stand behind all of our products and will replace shoes that have a defect in workmanship or materials.

If you believe that your shoes are defective and are unable to return them to the store where they were purchased, or if the retailer will not honor your return, you may contact us directly at 800-624-7463 (SHOE) for a Return Authorization. A Return Authorization is required for all returns.

If your shoes are older and need refurbishment, we suggest taking them to a local shoe repair shop. We also recommend a company called Resole Center. They can be reached at 888-349-7463.

Where are Clarks shoes manufactured?

Currently, we manufacture shoes in over 12 countries. We source our products globally due to various factors including cost, availability of materials, and capacity issues within individual countries.

Because we have many sourcing options, we are not overtaxing any of our factories. We also are continually exposed to new technologies, materials and shoemaking techniques from different areas of the world which each have their own expertise.

Our shoe making standards are up to the same high standards no matter where we make product. Leathers, cutting dies, lasts, and machinery are consistent in quality in any of our factories, whether they are located in England, Brazil, China, Slovenia, Italy, or any other country.

What is the difference between men and women's sizes?
Generally speaking, women's sizes are approximately 1.5 sizes higher than the equivalent men's size. For example, a women's size 8.5 is the equivalent of a men's size 7.

Shoe Care

How can I prolong the life of my Clarks shoes?
You can prolong the life of your Clarks shoes (or any shoes for that matter) by doing the following:
  • Rotate shoes frequently, allowing them to air out and dry thoroughly between wearings. Use of a cedar shoetree will help absorb moisture and maintain the shape of the shoe.
  • Allow shoes to dry at room temperature. Do not force dry.
  • Do not store shoes in shoe boxes for a lengthy period of time. Prolonged storage can lead to deterioration of certain common footwear materials.
How should I clean my Clarks shoes?
Keep your shoes clean and looking their best by following the guidelines listed below for various types of leathers:
  • Nubuck and Suede Leathers: To remove dirt and stains, brush lightly with a soft suede brush or rubber eraser. Clean with a damp cloth using warm water. Apply a silicone spray. Never use polish on nubuck leather.
  • Full Grain Aniline Leathers: To remove dirt, wipe gently with a dry cloth, and then wipe clean with a damp cloth using warm water. Allow uppers to dry naturally away from direct sunlight and artificial heat that can dry out leather. Use a high quality crème polish that matches the shoe color, then buff to a shine. Avoid liquid shoe polishes and silicone sprays.
  • Oiled and Waxed Leathers: To remove dirt, wipe gently with a dry cloth, and then wipe clean with a damp cloth using warm water. Allow uppers to dry naturally away from direct sunlight and artificial heat that can dry out leather. These leathers may benefit by finishing with a polishing wax or cream made for oily/waxes leathers.
  • Patent Leathers: With this type of leather, use a damp cloth and a little soap to clean them, use a soft cloth to remove any haze. However, this is a patent leather cleaner on the market, which contains silicone, which will return the high gloss.
  • Weatherproof: To weatherproof your shoes we would suggest a Non-Silicone Spray or A Rain/Stain Repellent.
Can I order replacement laces through Clarks?
While we can not guarantee that we have all styles of laces in stock, we do have many types of laces available and would be happy to send you a replacement pair. Please call us at 800 - 4CLARKS and provide us with the style name, number and color of your shoes along with your mailing address, and we will attempt to locate an acceptable replacement. Another option is to visit www.lacesforless.com, a website specializing in shoelace replacement.

Can I order replacement insoles for my Clarks shoes?

We only have replacement insoles for a shoe style called the Air Mover. If you would like to order this insole, please send a check for $15.00 dollars to the following address: The Clarks Companies, Attn: Consumer Services, 156 Oak Street, Newton Upper Falls, MA 02464. Please include a note specifying that the check is for Air Mover insoles and include the size of your shoes.
